catching up...

k i've been way too busy to really post anything up here. nothing too interesting has happened since homecoming. it's gotten way colder, the paint is off my car :), i'm working at little caesars with a ton of friends, and i've spent my whole fall break babysitting siblings. fun right? haha no not really. but owell :) i've been getting papers for college and stuff and i already ordered my class ring... scary huh? i can't believe that in 3 months from tomoro i'm going to be 17!!! and i have like a whole 4 day weekend to celebrate it on :) exciting!! haha. well.... miss you all!! i'll talk to you later!!

Homecoming...

k i know this is WAY late, but here it goes... haha homecoming was pretty fun :)

json asked me by having a friend come up and cover my eyes while he handed me a bouquet of flowers, a card, and a symphony bar :) it was raining outside so the flowers wilted before i got a good picture :(

i answered him by putting a ton of pink balloons in his truck with pigs drawn on them. then i wrote all over the windows "when pigs fly":) and on one of the balloons i wrote "yes i'll go to homecoming with you" json thought it would be funny to write it on my car the next day. (well, my dad's car, but he's even said a couple times that its my car lol)

the game that friday was way fun :) jessica and i painted our faces and made skyhawk masks. next year we've decided to go all out :) we also wrote all over the car

sat morning, json and his parents picked me up to go watch his cousin play football. it was way cute watching these 3 1/2 foot boys running around tackling eachother in uniforms and pads that looked a few sizes too big for them. haha :)

then, we went to ruby river for lunch. i had to get back by like 4 to go get my hair done :) janna came by to take pictures and watch :)

after my hair was done, i went home and got ready. the theme was "a night in paris" the cafeteria was way pretty :) wish i got some pictures of it. they had a huge eifel tower in the middle of the room that lit up. then they decorated some tables and booths all formal. it was really pretty :)

we left the dance early and went back to json's house to watch "prom night" :) when his parents came to pick us up from the dance, there was a small bouquet of yellow roses on my seat :) it was really sweet :)

well... srry theres not a ton of detail but that was like a month ago lol :)

sorry i haven't been updating the blog...

this school year has been CRAZY!! ever since we've been home from california its just busy busy busy all teh time. i feel like the energizer bunny... so yea as you probably coulda guessed, i don't ahve time still to put pictures up and everything... i hope to get that done this weekend but no promises lol :) my mom pretty much posted all my stuff on her blog :) home coming was a blast!!! the theme was "a night in paris" i'll tell ya more later ;) haha well talk to ya later!! :)

july vacation :)

this month our family's been traveling. we went to nevada to visit my grandma, grandpa, and 2 of my great grandmas :) while we were there, we played card games, went to a carnival, an went to see fire works.

after nevada, we traveled to california. the drive here was prettty long :) we ended up havin to watch ben's ninja turtles cartoon that lasted for THREE HOURS. during that whole time, we were in traffic. once we got here, we stayed at a friend's house (Briana). we went swimming, talked, laughed, and caught up.

then, i went over to another friend's house (sherri). we went to young women's together. it was nice seeing people there again. i forgot how small our mutual group is. i spent the night at her house and we went to mcdonalds across the street, watched movies, made bracelets, and had a good time.

after that, we went to the beach with anothing friend (kathryn). we had a blast running through the ocean, laying in the hot sun, playing card games and taking pictures. i got a little bit of a tan and even a little sun burned. it was a blast tho.

that's about all we've done so far. today i'm goin to the movies with briana. we're going to see Get Smart. well.... i guess that's all for now. miss you and hope to see you soon!!

summer...

This summer has been pretty great so far. :) i've been able to spend time with family and friends. we celebrated my mom and gerri's bday. gell was able to visit :) and i went to girl's camp...

girl's camp is really different here but its still really fun :) we did a challenge course. part of it was climbing up a 30-ft log to have to walk across a horizontal log that was 30-ft off the ground. then we had to jump and go down a zip line. it was really fun :) we had to do other courses that were challenging and related to life, relationships, the gospel, etc.

summer's a month over, but it's been good so far :) the next adventure is going to be our 3-week trip to nevada and california to visit family and friends :) can't wait!! hope to see you all soon!

PROM (a little late)

The date turned into an all day thing on a Saturday. Earlier in the week J'son said he had something planned before dinner and it was a surprise. :) It turned out to be a picnic. but of course mother nature didn't cooperate so we had the picnic in his living room. he had it planned where we would feed the ducks and possibly go fishing. So he had the popcorn and sweedish fish set out. :) while we were eating we watched the movie "Lady and the Tramp".
After the picnic, I ran home and had a friend help me do my hair. Then i got in church clothes and ran back to his house. He came out to the car and excorted me into their living room where there was a dinner table set up. We had a"Lady and the Tramp" dinner with spaghetti. The setting was complete with music. for dessert, we had extra chocolate brownies with marshmellows in them. ( that was really cool because whenever we have something chocolate or sticky we make a mess. we've had a chocolate fight with brownie mix and chocolate chips. then a week earlier than the prom we had smores and had a marshmellow fight :) )
After the dinner I ran home AGAIN to get into my dress and finish getting ready. I had 20 minutes before they had to come pick me up to go get pictures. when we were ready to go, we walked out the door, but of course it was so windy that my dress got caught on the bush on the way out to the car. at least it wasn't a shoe :)
After pictures, we couldn't decide what to do, so we went to his grandma's house and visited for a while. Then we went to the dance and met up with our group. that was really fun, but it was pretty hot and crowded. The dance was at the provo courthouse... very pretty :) we left the dance early and got Jamba Juice (which i miss a lot after moving) then, we went to his other grandma's house to visit before heading home.

prom proposal....

while i was at work... J'son came over to my house with his parents to decorate my room. i had no idea any of this was going on. right after work i had to go to young women's which went really late because we went to a play. when i came home, the house was dark and i couldn't find my mom. Daniel said that she left some laundry on my bed. so i was going to put my stuff down in my room when i noticed it was hard to get in the door.... there were streamers all along the inside of my door that i had to break through to get in. my mom was standing on the other side of the room with her camera of course. there was confetti EVERYWHERE. i still don't have it vaccumed up. on my bed there was a cake which had an unfinished message. i had to use the balloons, which had a letter on each one, to figure out the rest of the message.

a couple days later, my brother's friend from california came to visit. my mom took us to J'son's house right after school while his mom drove him around doing some errands. it took about an hour to finish, but it turned out great... i did a "string along" all the way through the house (using a whole scane of lime green yarn), that led him up to his room where there were even more streamers and more confetti. we hung a pinata in the corner which he had to break open to figure out a hang man message. there was candy with letters on them, regular candy, and a whole bag of confetti in the pinata. the message told him to go look in the garage where we had a "crime scene" which had a reply to the prom proposal.

first date...

sorry it took so long to write about the dance. i've been pretty busy the past week. :) the date was really good. i had him wait upstairs while i finished getting ready since i had work and didn't have all day ;) then we took a ton of pictures (we BOTH have scrapbooking moms so it took about 20 minutes to get out the door) j'son's parents drove us to the high school for the dance. we had a good time dancing and hanging out with some of his friends. the dance, my mom picked us up. we went by McDonalds to get a shake. he said he'd pay but my mom said no. haha. then he just got water. i wonder if he would've ordered something else if he was paying. :) after we got the milkshakes and water we drove around salem for about a half hour. my mom finally decided it was time to go home, so we dropped him off and headed home.... that was basically the whole date. :) hope to talk to you all later.. (thanks by the way for the calls haha)

UpDaTe :)

during fast and testimony meeting on sunday, this little boy got up and told an awesome story. he said he was at his friend's house one day, and his friend didn't get along with girls. but there were a couple of girls who wanted to play with them. the little boy's friend said "you can play, but you have to be our slaves" the little boy asked his friend "why don't we make them our queens instead of our slaves. then we will be their servents." his friend let the girls be queens, and the boys were their servants. the little boy said that his friend started to get along with girls then. i thought that was really cool because our lesson in seminary today was on womanhood, so it tied in completely. really makes you feel special hearing a little boy in primary get up and tell us how he made some girls feel like queens.

yes, i don't know if you've already heard, but i'm going out on my first date on saturday. we're going to the sweethearts masquerade dance. his name's J'son and he's a member of the church. j'son's dad offered to let my dad borrow a shotgun and my dad said he's going to sit on the front porch cleaning the shot gun. then daniel said he's going to be sitting cleaning his BB gun. haha whatever happened to the baseball bat?? i'll post pictures because i'm sure my mom will want to take some.
